What is the Green Badge?

WizAnn have been helping people acquire their Green Badge since 1996

The Green Badge is what all knowledge students aspire too. All Licensed London Taxi drivers hold a Green Badge.

A yellow Badge is available for drivers who wish to work the suburbs only, and a Blue Badge is something that involves quite a bit of extra study involving the history of the United Kingdom

Blue Badge Tourist Guides are the official, professional tourist guides of the United Kingdom.

Green Badge holders are considered the most qualified taxi drivers in the world.

On completion of the Knowledge of London you will be issued with a Green Badge with a unique number along with your bill (Your bill is the term used for your license).

Your Green Badge and Bill will need to be renewed every 3 years and proof may be asked for by TFL regarding periods of work during that time. If you fail to prove that you have been working as a licensed London Taxi Driver during this period your Green Badge and Taxi license may be revoked and you will be required to take further testing to have it re-instated.

Every taxi driver in the Metropolitan Police District and the City of London must hold a licence issued to them by TfL, and he must at all times when working as a taxi driver wear a Green Badge numbered and issued by TfL and have in his possession a copy of his licence.

You must be at least 21 years of age to be a Green Badge holder.

Every licensed taxi driver must at all times during their employment and when required to attend before any justice, wear their Green Badge conspicuously upon their breast, in such manner that the whole of the writing on it is distinctly legible, and must when required, produce it for inspection, and permit any person to note the writing on it.
